Catching up

I'm about 6 paintings behind on my posting here. Most of these are from photographs I took. I want to work a little more on the porch swing. I think adding some reflected color to the colums would tone them down:

Thanks to my new art group for getting me to wet a paintbrush again after a long absence. 

So this is a copy I painted of a Catherine Rey watercolor I found on line.  I would still like to do more to the background & some other things.

Early Spring, 2016

After a few months away, I'm painting some again.

Hot weather kept me indoors & I came up with these two:

I decided to try again on one of last year's paintings. First the 2014. Then the 2015. Not sure much improved. In fact I think I like last year's better. Maybe some ink on the second one will help. And a redder red. I also think the perspective is off. foreground cars should be larger.

I'm not doing much painting. I'd rather be working in the yard. This is the last I've done. It's from a sketch I made at Ebin Fine Park in Boulder:
