Hot weather kept me indoors & I came up with these two:

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

I decided to try again on one of last year's paintings. First the 2014. Then the 2015. Not sure much improved. In fact I think I like last year's better. Maybe some ink on the second one will help. And a redder red. I also think the perspective is off. foreground cars should be larger.

Ebin Fine

I'm not doing much painting. I'd rather be working in the yard. This is the last I've done. It's from a sketch I made at Ebin Fine Park in Boulder:

Here's the still life I did at Jo's Summerset workshop earlier this month.

I finished this in class yesterday and rather like it. Calling it Winter Woods. May want to enter it in the show next month. Three candidates. Choose two. Any input?

My class with Jo Myers-Walker has been fun. In a few weeks we're having a show at the senior center where we'll each show two paintings from the class. So these are my two. The flower arrangement needs to be trimmed down some and matted.

Yet another painting of the cloister arch:

I took the old 2011 backyard watercolor:

And trimmed it. Now I like it a bit better.

Here's a rendition of a scene in England. Perspective isn't right. Will try again.

I'm taking Intermediate Watercolor from Jo Myers-Walker. Here are a couple of pages I've drawn in my journal:
